KOSO Dual EGT Exhaust gas temperature EGT-02 EVO - NEW VERSION Exhaust gas temperature meter
What's new?
This new version now provides you with even more information!
In addition to the exhaust gas temperature, it now also shows you the board voltage. It also functions as a data logger and now saves the last 50 runs so that you can analyse them. The old version only saved the last value and did not display any voltage. So some nice new functions have been added.
Manufacturer's description:
The 2nd generation of the EGT data logger from Koso
The EGT-02 EVO is the further development of the Koso dual exhaust gas temperature meter, with which you can tune your engine even more precisely and log up to 50 journeys.
EGT stands for Exhaust Gas Temperature. The exhaust gas temperature is measured and displayed in real time on two separately mountable sensors, making it easy to tune the engine. It is well known that a mixture that is too lean burns too hot; if the mixture is too rich, the exhaust gases do not reach the required temperature. Precise measurement can save your engine in an emergency.
Tip: To achieve optimum engine performance, the following rule of thumb applies: The spark plug should be a fawn colour. Further down-jetting increases the engine's power output, whitens the spark plug and can lead to sticking. You spray the engine as lean as possible until you get a reading of approx. 650° on a straight stretch at full throttle. Depending on the material, you can go higher, but this can lead to piston sticking due to overheating, which you can visualise using an integrated warning function. The screen flashes red as soon as something is wrong with the engine. The warning values available are 200 to 1200° C.
