A problem that pretty much every Yamaha Banshee rider knows. You upgrade your bike to the latest standard with LED headlights, gauges and everything you need for the road and then you only have problems. Why is that? The Banshee's alternator produces a maximum of 80 watts and is, of course, already outdated. In addition, the vehicle was never designed for so much lighting. The alternator also only has a single charging winding, which unfortunately means you can't build up a decent battery charge. In order to charge the battery properly, you need at least 2 charging phases, but preferably 3 charging phases!
How do I realise that my alternator is causing problems?
- Is your alternator constantly burning out?
- Your charge controller gets very hot or stops working frequently?
- Is your battery not charging properly?
- Your battery doesn't last long?
- You don't have a decent charging voltage?
Then you should do something.
Why is this conversion better than some others?
- The alternator is new and unused. Converting to an RD alternator, for example, is good, but you are using very old components
- you have a proper charging voltage and a battery that is always full
- you have a modern 3-phase alternator, as has been installed in every modern car or motorbike for decades
- You no longer have a supply voltage for the CDI via the stator, which tends to burn out if you convert to a different CDI
- the conversion has been tried and tested over many years and has been used in our own vehicles for years
- it is often cheaper than original parts
- can be ridden with the original pole wheel of the Yamaha Banshee or RD 350

Please note:
This alternator only works with a DC CDI. You should also check the existing pole wheel for concentricity beforehand.
If it is warped, it could possibly come into contact with the stator. This happens, for example, if the pole wheel has been pulled off with an incorrect puller.
The alternator can be used with the original pole wheel of the Yamaha Banshee or RD 350!

Then we recommend converting to a vape light mask. It comes with everything you need, including a new pole wheel!
