This is our Stealth lock-up clutch, which fits under the standard side cover with only minor modifications. The lock-up clutch is made of 6061 billet aluminium, black anodised and uses ball bearings to apply pressure to the clutch pack. The billet pressure plate, which houses the ball bearings, replaces the standard cast pressure plate and provides greater strength and durability. Our lock-up clutch applies pressure to the clutch pack using ball bearings and is fully adjustable, from trail riders to drag racers. The pressure applied to the clutch depends on the number of ball bearings used in conjunction with the stiffness of the clutch spring. We have used our lock-up clutch in quads with 50 hp up to drag engines with 145 hp. The purpose of a lock-up clutch is to limit clutch slip and transfer horsepower to the ground. Since clutch slip is limited, the service life of the clutch pack is significantly extended.
